Diets by their very nature predispose you to failure and frustration. This is because they are founded on flawed physiological principles. They are based solely on calorie restriction as the mechanism of weight loss.
This is a short-sighted approach to weight loss, because this approach does not take into account various important aspects of metabolic function that are critical for long term success. Many of the diet programs on the market today advocate daily caloric intakes that are far below adequate levels. Some advise daily caloric intakes as low as 900 calories per day.
This process does two things. It inhibits your ability to lose weight by throwing your body into starvation mode. This is a survival mechanism of the body that slows your metabolic rate because it perceives a shortage of food. When you have caloric deficits that are too extreme your body will try to compensate for this. When this happens, it has detrimental effects on your ability to lose weight. When you come off these kinds of diets you are now at a further disadvantage because your metabolism is now slower than when you started. This also opens you up to malnutrition and possible health maladies associated with that. This often leads to an endless cycle of weight loss and weight gain. This is also known as yo-yo dieting.
Often these weight loss programs have expensive supplements and or prepackaged foods. Some cost hundreds of dollars per month while not providing a real permanent or sustainable solution. These programs also miss the most important aspect of weight loss and that is increasing your (resting metabolic set point). We will discuss this later in this report.
Changing the resting metabolic set point is the key to getting off the yo-yo dieting merry go round and end your weight loss frustrations forever! You can stop wasting money on expensive potions, powders and prepackaged foods that don’t provide a sustainable solution
In the following section of this report I will explain this principle and how it can help you.
Changing your metabolic set is the key to permanent fat loss. First let’s define what metabolic set point means. Metabolic Set Point: Is the rate at which your body burns calories at rest. Understanding how to raise this set point is one of the most important things to understand on your weight loss journey.
The body will change this metabolic set point through adaptations to exercise. This is done primarily through weight training, although cardiovascular training has its benefits. It is not nearly as effective a tool regarding changing your Metabolic Set Point as weight training is. This is due to the fact that weight training causes your body to create an increased amount of lean muscle tissue. This increase in lean muscle mass will increase your resting metabolism. This is because for every pound of muscle mass that you acquire your resting metabolism increases as much as 50 calories per day.
This is why developing more muscle mass is critical for increasing both your resting and exercising metabolic rates. This is done through progressive changes in your exercise routine. These changes need to be done as your body adapts to and overcomes the challenges of the last routine.
This increase in resting metabolism will cause a corresponding increase in exercise caloric expenditure as well. Because you will have more muscle mass it will cause your body to utilize more calories to move that muscle. This means that you will burn more calories during each exercise session as you progress through the exercise regime.
Weight Training also has a post workout metabolic effect called After Burn. The After-Burn effect is a continued elevated metabolism up to 24hrs after your weight training session is over. This is due to the fact that the body has to burn calories in order to create more muscle tissue as an adaptation of the weight training session.
Understanding these principles and how to arrange your exercise routine to maximize their benefits is critical to achieving weight loss in the fastest way possible. Unlike crash diets or other calorically restricted programs that damage your metabolism. Weight Training will actually improve your metabolism. Making weight loss easier and more sustainable.
Over my 25 years of experience in helping people lose weight I have experimented, changed and tweaked my programming methods trying to come up with the most effective system possible. What I came up with was Progressive Circuit Training. Progressive Circuit Training is the most time saving, efficient way to lose fat and shape the body that I have seen.
Progressive Circuit utilizes all of the known principles of exercise science in one efficient easy to understand program. By combining the benefits of all three aspects of exercise simultaneously, weight training, cardiovascular training, and flexibility. You will increase your results exponentially. This is because you will burn maximum calories during the exercise session and also after the session during the after-burn phase.
This is because the system is designed for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The design of the system is that you keep your heart rate up the entire session while simultaneously switching modes and muscle groups allowing for anaerobic muscle recovery and flexibility while keeping the heart rate elevated to utilize calories aerobically at the same time.
There are no expensive shakes, packaged foods or gimmick miracle exercise machines. Only an honest, sensible, and attainable exercise program that delivers results! Once you learn this system you will never need to waste money on weight loss gimmicks or diets again! Knowledge is power. Learning this system, you will be able to utilize it for the rest of your life. No more frustration, no more yo-yo dieting and no more expensive shakes or packaged foods.
